Somewhere in Time is the sixth studio album, released on September 29, 1986, and was the first album the band used guitar synthesizers.

Featuring 2 singles, both written by guitarist Adrian Smith: Wasted Years and Stranger in a Strange Land.

The album was revisisted during 2008 tour Somewhere Back in Time, and The Future Past tour of 2023/2024, it was during this tour that nearly 37 years after the album's release, Iron Maiden played "Alexander the Great" live for the first time.
